We at Pleasant Grove are very excited about the ministry of our new food pantry. We are in the beginning stages of this ministry and are in need of volunteers in a variety of areas including filling boxes, shopping, sharing with those in need, gathering specific information from those in need and distributing materials. Currently each family requesting assistance will be required to fill out an information sheet that will enable us to provide effectively for their needs. We will also take references from the church family of Pleasant Grove and these will be assisted on a need by need basis. Our greatest desire is that through the ministry of food, we will be able to share the life change that the Lord Jesus Christ can make in the lives of those in need.
Our pantry facility is still under construction but will be ready by the end of August. We still need shelving units and freezers to help stock this room. We will be distributing food on designated CARE Nights and will assist families in emergency cases as the need arises.
