About God:

God is the creator and ruler of the universe.

God exists eternally in three distinct personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are co-equal and one God.

 

About Jesus Christ:

Jesus Christ is eternal, born through the virgin birth, and is the Son of God.

He is co-equal with the Father, lived a sinless life, and sacrificed Himself on the cross for the sins of all people. Jesus rose from the dead, demonstrating power over sin and death, ascended to Heaven, and will return as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

 

About the Holy Spirit:

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son.

He makes people aware of their need for Jesus Christ and resides in every Christian. The Holy Spirit provides power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in righteousness. Every believer receives spiritual gift(s) upon salvation, and Christians seek to live under His control daily.

 

About the Bible:

The Bible is God's Word, written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian belief and living, without any mixture of error.

 

About People:

People are made in the spiritual image of God and are the supreme object of His creation. Sin, an attitude and act of disobedience, separates people from God and causes problems in life.

 

About Our Salvation:

Salvation is God's free gift initiated through the Holy Spirit's conviction.

Trusting in Jesus Christ as the offer of forgiveness is the only way to be saved from sin's penalty. Eternal life begins upon confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection.

 

About Creation:

The literal story of creation is found in Genesis 1 & 2.

Man was created directly in God's image, and creation is not a result of evolution.

 

About Marriage:

Affirmation of God's plan for marriage and sexual intimacy as between one man and one woman for life, based on Genesis 2.
